Creating Your Wallet

No seed phrases, no passwords. Just your fingerprint or face.

How Passkeys Work

FutureWallet uses passkeys instead of traditional passwords or seed phrases. A passkey is a modern authentication method built into your device — it uses your fingerprint, face scan, or screen lock to verify your identity.

When you sign up, your device creates a unique cryptographic key pair. The private key stays securely on your device (in its secure enclave — the same chip that protects Apple Pay and Google Pay). The public key is shared with FutureWallet to verify your identity.

Phishing-proof

Passkeys are bound to the FutureWallet domain. They cannot be tricked by fake websites.

Nothing to remember

No passwords to forget, no seed phrases to write down. Your biometrics are your key.

Biometric security

Protected by your device's secure hardware. Your biometric data never leaves your device.

Works across devices

Passkeys sync through your iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager.

Step-by-Step Setup

1

Open FutureWallet

Visit the FutureWallet app on your phone or desktop browser, or download the iOS/Android app. Tap Get Started.

2

Create your passkey

Your device will prompt you to create a passkey. On iPhone, this uses Face ID or Touch ID. On Android, it uses your fingerprint or screen lock. On desktop, it may show a QR code for your phone to scan. Just follow the on-screen prompts — it takes a few seconds.

3

Your wallet is created automatically

Once your passkey is set up, FutureWallet automatically creates an embedded cryptocurrency wallet for you. This happens behind the scenes — you do not need to do anything. Your wallet address is shown on your dashboard.

4

Confirm your region

During onboarding you will be asked to confirm your jurisdiction. This is required because xStocks (tokenized stocks) are not available to US persons due to regulatory requirements.

5

You are ready to go

Fund your wallet with stablecoins and start trading. Head to the chat and type your first trade, or explore the asset catalog.

What Does Non-Custodial Mean?

Non-custodial means that you — and only you — control your wallet and your assets. FutureWallet never holds your private keys. They are derived from your passkey and secured by your device's hardware.

This matters because:

  • If FutureWallet goes offline, your funds are still safe in your wallet on the blockchain
  • Nobody at FutureWallet can freeze, move, or access your assets
  • You can export your wallet at any time and use it with any compatible app

Think of it like having a physical wallet in your pocket rather than giving your money to a bank. The trade-off is that you are responsible for your passkey — if you lose access to all your devices and backups, nobody can recover your wallet for you.

Supported Platforms

FutureWallet works on all major platforms from a single app:

  • Web — Any modern browser on desktop or mobile (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
  • iOS — Native app from the App Store (iPhone and iPad)
  • Android — Native app from Google Play

Your account and wallet work seamlessly across all platforms. Passkeys sync through your iCloud Keychain (Apple) or Google Password Manager (Android/Chrome), so you can log in on any device.
