Your First Trade

Buy your first tokenized stock in under a minute.

Making a trade on FutureWallet is as simple as sending a text message. Here is a walkthrough of buying your first tokenized stock.

Before you start

Make sure you have created your wallet and funded it with stablecoins (like USDC). You will need a balance to trade with.

Example: Buy $10 of Tesla

1

Open the Chat

Navigate to the Chat tab in the app. This is where you communicate with the FutureWallet AI.

2

Type your trade

Type buy $10 of Tesla and send the message. The AI understands natural language, so you do not need special commands or syntax.

3

Review the confirmation

The AI will respond with a confirmation card showing the trade details:

AssetxTSLA
SideBuy
Amount$10.00
Price~$178.52
Estimated tokens~0.056 xTSLA
Approve
Reject
4

Approve the trade

If everything looks good, tap Approve. The AI will execute the trade on-chain. You will see a confirmation message once it is complete, including the transaction hash.

5

Check your portfolio

Navigate to the Dashboard tab. You will see your new xTSLA position listed in your holdings, with the current value and any price change since your purchase.

What Happens Behind the Scenes

When you type “buy $10 of Tesla”, the AI processes your request through several steps:

  1. Parsing — The AI understands you want to buy $10 worth of Tesla (xTSLA)
  2. Quoting — It fetches the current xTSLA price and calculates how many tokens you will receive
  3. Safety checks — 8 guardrail checks verify the trade is within your limits, the contract is approved, and there are no issues
  4. Confirmation — The trade details are shown to you for approval
  5. Execution — After you approve, the transaction is signed and sent to the blockchain
  6. Recording — Your portfolio is updated and the trade is logged

All of this happens in seconds. You do not need to understand any of these steps — the AI handles everything.

Tips for Clear Messages

The AI is flexible with how you phrase things, but here are some tips for the best results:

  • Include the amount — “buy $10 of Tesla” is clearer than “buy some Tesla”
  • You can use dollar amounts (“buy $50 of Apple”) or token quantities (“sell 2 xAAPL”)
  • Ask questions too — “what is the price of Google?” works without triggering a trade
  • Be specific about buy or sell
